About Dave McLaury

Hi, I’m Dave McLaury—most people in the industry know me as “Demo Dave.” From a young age, I’ve been drawn to machines, engines, and figuring out how things work. When I was 17, I took that passion to auto mechanic school, which kickstarted a lifelong career built on innovation and craftsmanship.

In 1987, I found my true calling in the plastics world while working for a small equipment distribution and manufacturing company in Placerville, California. I learned how to weld metal, operate mills and lathes, and master a variety of manufacturing tools. As my skills grew, I discovered I had a knack for sales and building strong relationships with customers. That combination of hands-on expertise and communication set me off on a career filled with travel, connection, and the pursuit of better solutions.

By 1999, I co-founded Demtech Services, Inc., with a simple goal: to design, build, and support the best plastic welding equipment in the business. Fast forward to today, and I’m launching a new chapter with DM Solutions, Inc. This new venture is all about bringing my decades of experience and passion to the table, while staying committed to the same values that have driven me from the start—building great products, fostering relationships, and helping people succeed.
